Thanks.  That is useful info.  I will mention this to rms.

I did not say that you couldn't use the code.  What I said is that it
can't be part of GCC.  This is because the FSF wants to retain copyright
ownership of all code in GCC.  I suggested resolving the problem for now
by adding documentation stating that the code is not part of GCC, but is
included for convenience.
