For Solaris, sparcv9 is the official name of the architecture.  It's what
Sun calls it.  If I were trying to guess at the appropriate triple to use,
I'd try sparcv9; I'm not sure if I'd ever come up with sparc64, since this
thread is the first time I'd ever heard the architecture called that.

Matters may be very different in the *BSD or Linux on SPARC world, of
course.
