Besides ISO, it's a cultural thing. I think it's somewhat covered in
<URL:http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/jargon/html/Hacker-Writing-Style.html>.
(For lack of better entry. Suggest ask ESR about adding entries
for "incorrekt" et. al. ;-)
