Documentation belongs in the manuals if it describes a particular version
and should be branched for releases, on the website otherwise.  In this
case I think the website is appropriate (listing targets that used to be
supported in general) rather than the manuals (listing targets that were
supported at some date before a particular release, but not in that
release).
