Dear GCC maintainers,
it's now some weeks ago that I have submitted the copyright assignment
for GCC patches to the FSF, even though I still think that the large
DESTDIR patch could be reduced to about 12 lines when counting
identical insertions only once :-) Anyway, even your lawyers should
be satisfied now.
The DESTDIRifying patch may meanwhile have become unusable. Please
understand that I won't do that again without some encouragement from
your side. So what about dropping a remark here, occasionally?
Should you instead plan to bring more parts of the build system under
control of automake, please let me know too. I'd be interested in any
project that aims at improving the Makefile suite.
