Thanks.  From what you say, then, the patch does no particular good.
Right now, I don't have time or resources to implement proper support
for these CPUs; I will simply discard the changes.  I might come back
to this later -- in the abstract, assuming proper implementation, are
-mcpu=440 and/or =405f desirable features?
