Oh, and did I mention that this patch actually fixes a bug?

Or do you disagree that the compiler, when given the same preprocessed
input and the same command-line flags, should produce the same output?

Currently, it doesn't, if you happen to change your current working
directory.  This patch fixes this very bug.  It's not a regression,
but it is a bug.
