I'd rather move all Linux targets to --enable-threads=posix; I believe
all current glibc ports have threads support, so why not?
Ok, here is updated patch. Ok to commit? For 3.2 too?
Well, OK.  I liked the earlier one better for the branch, but I'll trust
y'all.
