I'd rather keep the current default, such that release scripts et al
don't have to be changed, but support changing this default by means
of a configure flag. In fact, this has been in my to-do list, but I
haven't got round to it.
BTW, this patch looks very much like the one Brendan Conoboy posted on
May 8. Did you forget to add his name to the ChangeLog, or
independently came up with such a similar patch? :-) I wouldn't doubt
the latter, but it would be surprising.
Anyway, I'd like to have docbuilddir renamed to infomakedir, as
suggested by Steve Christiansen, so that it doesn't imply it has to be
in the build directory.
