It's standard English in the sense that yes, it's the correct rule, and
yes, if you think about the next time you're editing that file, it should
be changed (or a total pass over all the files should be made), but none
of the grammar teachers or newspaper editors I know would care much.

A total pass would be nice.  No, I'm not volunteering.  :-)  My "total
passes" tend to change too much text.
