Why should it need to involve the SC? Surely you can just use your global
write privileges to approve it. When the Ada maintainers later want to
remove support for building with GNAT 3.13 and require at least GCC 3.1 to
build the Ada front end, then the SC can consider whether that feature
removal is appropriate at that time - just as they may some years in the
future consider a proposal that the C front end no longer need be
buildable with a K&R compiler.
