But at least the other changes would be good so that people can take the
3.0 and start translating. If people by accident starts to translate they
will do it with a pot file that is a year old and where just a smaller
part of it will be usefull.

It's a lot of work to make a translation of something like gcc, it would
be a shame if someone does it for no use (like the ones who did it on the
fsf pot files which is useless now). I would estimate it to about a week
full time work to do it good.

I have not tried it yet, but the patch from Zach on the POTFILES.in seems
to add/remove a lot of files, potentially adding a lot of new strings for
translation.
