Applied to trunk and branch. I also 'updated' POTFILES.in on trunk
and branch (i.e. I ran 'make gcc.pot' and deleted lines until it
worked). There may well be files missing from POTFILES.in, but we
have no way of checking that right now.
gcc.pot needs to be updated, but let's wait for Philipp to say what
the deal is with --defines on the exgettext invocation, first.
