The SCO Unix (and SCO OpenServer) pieces of this look fine to me, Zack.

It'll be a while before I can get to it (I'm travelling), but here's 
a good project or someone that wants to help but isn't a compiler jock.   

Only one remaining target (AIX) set IO_BUFFER_SIZE and David Edelson 
has already agreed that it should throw in this towel, too.    Sweep 
through the tree and remove all traces of the IO_BUFFER_SIZE and the
associated setvbuf code.   It's scattered around in several places, but
it's merely an editor exercise to vaporize it.
