My patch fixes some change introduced after 2.95 which
was done _without_ respect to whole DJGPP toolchain.
Automatically adding .exe simply breaks things like autoconf.
If we wanted to leave GCC in its current state, as you wish, we
would have to patch binutils and our library, introducing
backwards not compatible changes and so on. Actually, this
is a long term plan, but we have to keep things working now.
