Already had done so. Lemme do it again...

Same problem. No other differences in my local source tree, just the
earlier version of i386.c.
Weird. What else should I be looking at? Platform is i686, glibc is the
RH7 glibc-2.2-9 package, phase of the moon is... uh, new, I think...
