[Fwd: [patch] CVSROOT/commitinfo]

This change will implement the automated generation of generated
files at commit time. (Well, seconds afterwards anyway.)
All of the new files will be empty. Henceforth, commiting files
from multiple branch tags with a single commit will be prohibited.
I don't know what tags to put on all these new files, so, actually,
all branch tags will be prohibited on the predecessor files to these
generated files. :-)

OK to commit?

P.S. OK. I confess. I am really stirring the pot.
No more work without feedback from the Steering Committee :-)

That's no script. That's a program (binary). :-)

Not true. I am quite capable of checking in the CVSROOT/commitinfo
file. I would also expect it to be the last checkin I ever did, tho :-}.
I would make the changes to point to my home bin at first so that I can
quickly respond to problems. Once we have confidence, then we can
move that binary and make the appropriate change to the commitinfo file.

But, even before all of that, we need the list of tags that have to
be applied to the newly created generated files. That all has to be
in place before I can mess with the commitinfo.

But, even more than that, a new list of generated files has to be
figured out. It seems that some of the .perf files went away,
which means that this was put on hold for too long........
