It seems likely to me that only a compiler hacker, language lawyer, or
similar is going to know what a `binding contour' is. `Scope level' or
simply `block' may be a simpler term.

(But maybe I am wrong and most people do grok this term. If so I'd like
 to know why they've been avoiding me at work all the time. ;) )
