Well, there's only one patch left to enable localized spilling. I (and others)
are busy testing it :-)
How will you know? When the linux folks start complaining that there kernels
don't build anymore :-) :-) (That's supposed to be funny, really). Bernd's
patch will flag bogus asms instead of silently doing the wrong thing.
Anyway, there'll definitely be an announcement on egcs, then a (hopefully)
short period when we concentrate on stablilizing the tree a little bit -- it's
been rather unstable for a while and we ought to stabilize it before we go on
to the next major reorganization.
