- Subject: gcc 4.9.1 Submodel Options / Intel 386 and AMD x86-64 Options not set for target
- Authentication-results: sourceware.org; auth=none
Hi all,
when building gcc (msys2 / mingw64 package) with the following options
makepkg_mingw64.confg
CFLAGS="-march=sandybridge -mtune=sandybridge -maddress-mode=long -mfpmath=sse"
CXXFLAGS="-march=sandybridge -mtune=sandybridge -masm=intel -maddress-mode=long -mfpmath=sse"
configure (see blow)
I would expect the following target options to be set based on the documentation
-march=cpu-type
'sandybridge'
Intel Sandy Bridge CPU with 64-bit extensions, MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, POPCNT, AVX, AES and PCLMUL instruction set support.
source: http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-4.9.0/gcc/i386-and-x86-64-Options.html#i386-and-x86-64-Options
But only -march=sandybridge -mtune=sandybridge are set
Thanks,
Andreas
