gcc option -fminimal-toc related

Hi all,
I was trying to cross build a package for the ARM architecture.
The package contains the -fminimal-toc option as the CFLAGS, which
gives a build error and hence ive disabled the inclusion of this option and
the package builds for ARM arch, is this ok.
