unicode problem

Subject: unicode problem

Hi,

on some distributions UTF-32 is the default and i need to change the
size of wchar_t to 2 bytes. i tried to compile it with
-fwide-exec-charset=UTF-16 but it didn't help. any ideas howto change
it?
