Binary compatibility - Xeon & Opteron

Subject: Binary compatibility - Xeon & Opteron

Hello,

I am using gcc compiler version 3.3.3
I would like to know whether the binaries compiled on
AMD64 Opteron will work on EM64T Xeon and vice a versa
?

Also I would like to know whether the 32 bit binaries
will run as it is on 64 bit platforms ?
