Compilation fails! Need Help

Subject: Compilation fails! Need Help

I've tried to compile GCC 3.0.4 with the RedHat  GCC 3.2.2-5 and kernel 2.4.20-8.
I've used:

./configure --prefix=$HOME --enable-languages=c,c++ --enable-threads
make bootstrap

but the GNU make 3.79.1 reports errors in the comparison beetwen 2-stage and
3-stage. Why?
What's the problem? How do I compile GCC 3.0.4?

I've attached the installation log.
