- Subject: how to initiate whether gcc is installed and can put into use???
- Bcc:
i've try to type
'gcc'
& i got a message like
'gcc: no input files'
then i type
'which gcc'
& i got message like
'/usr/bin/gcc'
next, i type
'gcc --version'
i got the version message
'gcc (GCC) 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk)
Copyright (C) 2002 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

Above is all i've tried, but i need to know:
# whether it's realli exist on my mandrake??
# whether it is on the right directory?? if not where & how i'm going to
change the path?
# does gcc available on my mandrake installation cd? if not where can i
download it?
thanks in advance.
