As Graham pointed out (thanks), part of my problem
was a stale binutils; hey I'm a newbee at building
GCC...
Now that I have my Slowaris8 build complete, any
hints on the remaing issue...
ld: fatal: symbol `svector<std::basic_string<char,
std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >
>::svector[in-charge](unsigned)' is multiply-defined:
(file main.o and file async.o);
ld: fatal: symbol `svector<std::basic_string<char,
std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >
>::svector[not-in-charge](unsigned)' is
multiply-defined:
(file main.o and file async.o);
