help with gcc installation..

Quick question, I have solaris 9 and the newest version of GCC. I got a
precompiled binary from sunfreeware and I tried to install it, but alas there
wasnt enough space in the /usr partition. I cant repartition or add space to a
partition on the fly, so I was wondering if I could link the directores to
another partition with some more space, like /home as 5 gigs free. I think
what I mean, is to link /usr to use the space in /home somehow. Or should I
just reinstall and repartition, which is an option at this point since I just
instlled the systems, and its not really doing anything at this point. Any
help would be appreciated! Thanks!
