Compilers that have libraries for Linux/Dos

I want to continue studying C programming in Linux, but most of the books work
mainly with Windows/Dos, even if they say they work with Unix/Linux.

I don't even care so much about Windows, but would like to use a COMPILER that
has standard libraries that I can port to DOS also. Some of the tutorial and books use
dos.h and stdio.h (windows/dos stdio.h has stdprn but Linux stdio.h doesn't),...

I decided on using DJGPP on Windows to continue studying C Programming, but
would like to use a Compiler in Linux that would work just the same.

Maybe I could move some of the headers over like dos.h and stdio.h from the Windows
compilers and #include "dos.h" as a local header instead of system. Is that possible? I think
I ran into problems before on that.

Dave
