I doubt some package might require egcs-1.1.2 and libstdc++-2.90.8,
since I believe them to be incompatible.  But, if you want to try it
and prove me wrong, I absolutely wouldn't mind :-)

You should probably follow the installation instructions of
libstdc++-2.90.8.
