I can reproduce this on my Pentium M (openSUSE 10.2) with
Target: i586-suse-linux
gcc version 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
and with FX's
Target: i386-pc-linux-gnu
gcc version 4.3.0 20070618 (experimental)
Interestingly, it works on x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu even with -m32.
(I somehow fail to run FX's i386 compiler on x86-64.)
I think this could be a middle-end or target problem as it is that target
dependent. On the other hand, gfortran (and g95) could simply produce a wrong
generic code.
