I would say it's very unlikely that this is a pure library issue, because we
changed nothing in the involved code, for months. Note that in the same
time-frame ext/new_allocator/deallocate_global.cc started failing on
powerpc-ibm-aix5.2.0.0: I asked David Edelsohn details and he told me in
private mail that it turned out the cause was a C++ patch from Jan Hubicka. In
the meanwhile that regression disappeared on ibm-aix, but I don't know why,
didn't follow that problem. I would suggest to investigate along those lines...
