Many thanks for bringing this up - I only just noticed it today; maybe next
time anything involving derived type association comes up, could you CC me on
the PR?
For once, I do not feel embarrassed by this type of PR: on Cygwin_NT, which I
used to develop the August round of patches, the compilation does not crash; it
just stops. Since no errors are produced, the testsuite seems to proceed its
own merry little way and ignore the fact that there has been a failure! The
reason that the testsuite does not pick it up is that the test of the fix for
PR19362 was moved to a subroutine, so that other aspects of association could
be tested. This error only afflicts namespaces without a parent; eg. the main
programme.
I have a patch regtesting right now but I am confident that it will be OK and
will submit it right away.
