The attached snippet does not compile with the attached compiler version.

protected:
template <class P,class T> P fred ( T & ) {return 0;};
};
template <class T>
class derived : public base {
public:
void jane () {T t; this->fred<int>(t);}
};
main ()

d.jane ();
}
