[Bug bootstrap/18388] New: bootstrapping failing on HP-UX 11.23/IA64

I'm trying to bootstrap gcc-3.4.3 on 

>uname -a
HP-UX lvcapt B.11.23 U ia64 0104590984 unlimited-user license

configured with

configure --prefix=/opt/gcc343 --enable-shared \
--with-threads=posix --disable-nls \
--with-gnu-as=/opt/gcc342/bin/ia64-hp-hpux11.23-as \

I tried to bootstrap with

>gcc -v
