Compiler says to post a bug. I don't know how to equate the above "triples"
with the "what we want" from the "how to report a bug" page, but here's what I
have:

here is a heavily trimmed source file that still has the error message. It's
still pretty long, as I didn't spend a lot of time getting rid of extraneous
variable declarations. I'm sure the code makes less logical sense than the
original, since most of it has been deleted. It's not my code, and so I can't
take credit for it's "italian restaurant" flavor.
