[Bug c/16274] New: Memory allocation error for arrays on stack

The following simple c code gives segmentation fault on a GNU-Linux system
(Redhat-9.0) running on a Pentium 4 machine with 512 MB RAM.

Source file : test.c

-----------------------------------------------------
#include<stdio.h>

int main()
{
  int a[1024][1024];
  int b[1024][1024];

  b[0][0]=13;

  return 0;
}

Compile:
