Sending mail to gcc-bugs isn't very useful anymore, as it is primarily used for output from our bugzilla bug database. You might try gcc-help.


By the way, gcc-2.96 is not an FSF release. This is either an old snapshot, or a release from some other vendor (such as Red Hat). We are more helpful if you are actually using an FSF release.

gcc-2.96 is very old by our standards. We are only supporting gcc-3.3 and later. You may find it difficult to find help for such an old nonstandard release.

HPUX is ambiguous. This is presumably not an m68k-hpux machine, but it could be either a PA or IPF (IA-64) machine, and these different machines are supported by different people.

We don't distribute depot files. We only distribute sources. The FSF does sell a binary CD for some platforms, but it isn't going to have an old non-FSF release on it.
