Subject: Re: C++ profiling bug makes string constructor calls <spontaneous>
I had, perhaps foolishly, assumed that STL constructors would be
implemented in the templates, rather than in a library. Based on that
assumption, combined with the seemingly-arbitrary combination of
things that seemed to generate or fail to generate the <spontaneous>
appearances, I had convinced myself it was a g++ bug. My apologies.
If anyone could point me towrad documentation on how to go about
profiling this code, I would be quite grateful.
Thanks,
Jeremy
