- Reply-to: gcc-bugzilla at gcc dot gnu dot org
Since two days I get a bootstrap failure when bootstrapping 3.4 branch
(i686-pc-linux-gnu with --enable-checking):
stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/
-B/home/reichelt/GCC/FARM/gcc-3.3-20040216/i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ -g -O2
-DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes
-pedantic -Wno-long-long -Wold-style-definition -fno-common
-DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../gcc/gcc -I../../gcc/gcc/.
-I../../gcc/gcc/../include -c insn-recog.c \
-o insn-recog.o
insn-recog.c: In function `recog_15':
insn-recog.c:15695: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions.
make[1]: *** [insn-recog.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/Work/reichelt/gccbuild/src-3.4/build/gcc'
make: *** [stage2_build] Error 2
I used gcc 3.3.3 and gcc 3.4.0-20040214 as a bootstrap-compiler.
I'll attach two reduced testcases that segfault with the stage1-compiler.
Honza, your patch
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-cvs/2004-02/msg00765.html
triggers the failure for me. Reverting it makes things work again
(the bootstrap as well as the testcases).
Could you please have a look?
