The mingw library doesn't support -pg; it gives a link error. In order to
make this test pass under cygwin, I remove the mingw installation entirely,
as the mingw library takes precedence if it is installed. This situation
had been the same for months. I don't know if it is intentional. I notice
that David Billinghurst has been reporting this test passing lately, so
maybe something has changed.
