Summary: incorrectly instantiating unneeded template
Product: gcc
Version: 3.4
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: c++
AssignedTo: unassigned at gcc dot gnu dot org
ReportedBy: nathan at gcc dot gnu dot org
CC: gcc-bugs at gcc dot gnu dot org
GCC build triplet: i686-pc-linux-gnu
GCC host triplet: i686-pc-linux-gnu
GCC target triplet: i686-pc-linux-gnu
Overload resolution causes instantiation of 'T Foo<void> (int)', when
trying 'void Baz (void (*)(int), int)'. that is not selected
by overload resolution, but we go ahead an instantiate the body of
Foo anyway (which fails).
