No, it's not the right place for assembler bugs. GNU as (gas) is part of GNU binutils. Binutils
bugs should be mailed to bug-binutils@gnu.org. It's currently spammed out the wazoo, so if you don't get a response, you probably want to consider
sending a message to the discussion list binutils@sources.redhat.com.
Include the version of gas (not the version of GCC).
(If the compiler is producing bad assembly code, and the assembler is doing the right thing, of course, it's a GCC bug.)
