*What* version? Would it be simple enough to please try with
the CVS version on sources.redhat.com by including it in your
uberbaum? (Dejagnu+expect+tcl compiles quite quickly, compared
to a gcc testsuite run.)

Well, I don't see failure here. I'll check out clean sources as
per simtest-howto.html and check if local changes possibly mask
this for me. But that still means I'll run a CVS dejagnu.
