Well, it seems that GNU mirrors copy exactly the contents of
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/. So if you put bz2 files on
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gcc/, they should still be copied on GNU
mirrors, as it happens for automake and other packages...
