c/7071 -- Internal compiler error in simplify_subreg, at simplify-rtx.c:2452

A couple more notes on this one.  I've attached the patch I made to gcc/config/arm/t-linux for multilib support.  I've also duplicated the problem on the 3.1 branch from CVS as of June 18th.  I'll try from the head of CVS today.  Any other suggestions on how to help track this down?
