Synopsis: recompile xerces with gcj

Responsible-Changed-From-To: unassigned->green
Responsible-Changed-By: green
Responsible-Changed-When: Fri May 17 12:56:55 2002
Responsible-Changed-Why:
    I know about xerces and gcj.
State-Changed-From-To: open->analyzed
State-Changed-By: green
State-Changed-When: Fri May 17 12:56:55 2002
State-Changed-Why:
    A few things...
    1) xerces doesn't use JNI so there's no need to compile with -fjni
    2) Try gcj 3.1 which was released a few days ago.
    3) Check out and build xerces from http://sources.redhat.com/rhug.
    This is known to configure/build/install properly with gcj 3.1.

    Let me know what you try and discover.

    Thanks,

    AG
