I can reproduce your problem if I compile your testcase
with:
g++ -O3 -c classFileParser.ii
gcc 3.1 20020315 (prerelease) compiles the code without
crashing. There are lots of warnings on the code though:

offsetof from non-POD type `class ThreadLocalEden'; use pointer to
member
instead
