Synopsis: building cross compiler for m68k-rtems
State-Changed-From-To: open->closed
State-Changed-By: joel
State-Changed-When: Tue Mar 5 11:40:11 2002
State-Changed-Why:
This is not a bug in gcc. This build failed because the m68k-rtems
binutils were not installed and in the user's PATH before configuring
and building gcc. This is a common error and covered in
the RTEMS Getting Started manual in section 4.3.1
"Error Message Indicates Invalid Option to Assembler".
I would also like to point out that gcc 2.95.3 required RTEMS
specific patches and that prebuilt RPMs are available for the
configuration being built at ftp.oarcorp.com.
