Finally got 3.0.1 built:
~ > gcc --verison
gcc: No input files
~ > gcc --version
3.0.1
~ > uname -a
SunOS topaze 5.7 Generic_106541-02 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10
btw, is the reaction to an unknown '--' option correct?
Here's the configure:
../configure --prefix=/sup --with-gnu-ld --with-gnu-nm --with-gnu-as --with-as=/sup/bin/as --with-ld=/sup/bin/ld --with-nm=/sup/bin/nm
and a make bootstrap got the compiler built. I noticed one error
message floating by:
/sup/build/gcc-3.0.1/libjava/configure: /vol/local/bin/pwd: not found
No problems seemed to surface from it though.
Other than that it seems OK. Thanks for the help!
Nils.
