Um, err, why do you thing so? gcc output fails to link because some
internal functions are not defined in libgcc or libstdc++. To me this
looks like a bug in gcc, and its a regression with respect to 2.95 on top
of that, which should however be relatively easy to fix for 3.0.1 as the
same fix for float functions has already been applied.

By the way, thanks to whoever filed the bug report on my behalf. I was
just thinking to do so today to make it in time for 3.0.1.
